THE SETON/NEUMANN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CENTER

SNREC is a converted convent that sits on the grounds of Immaculate High School in Danbury, CT, directly across the street from Terrywile Park. Youth are invited to use the over 3 miles of hiking trails, open space and small lake near Terrywile Mansion for their enjoyment.

The building is a three-story structure that has been set up in a youth friendly manner. The main level is the conference area, which includes a conference room that can be set-up auditorium style or with round tables and chairs. It is equipped with a TV/VCR, CD/cassette player, easel and markers and a podium. The maximum size group is 50 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with ovens, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, dishwasher, etc. There is a sitting room adjacent to the kitchen. The Chapel is also on the main level and can be set up in any fashion needed. If your group is celebrating liturgy please have the celebrant bring his own mass kit. There is also a bedroom with two single beds, an office with a telephone, a private bedroom/full bathroom/office suite and a handicapped access bathroom with a shower.

The upstairs level has 24 bedrooms with bunk beds, desk/chair, sink, mirror and reading chair and lamp. The hallway is split with a swinging door for male/female division. A full bathroom with showers is on the girls side of the door and they would use the front staircase. The boys would use a side staircase to access their side of the floor, and this staircase leads down to the lower level where their full bathroom with showers is located. The upper level also has a master suite with full bath/single bedroom/and sitting room, and a separate private counseling room. The lower level also includes a second conference room that can be used for icebreakers, prayer services, or just hanging out and playing Ping-Pong. Also feel free to bring a football, frisbee, or whatever to use on our spacious grounds.
